ABOUT

Hi, I’m Erin!

Since 2021, I’ve hiked and backpacked over 6,400 miles. I thru-hiked the John Muir Trail in 2021, the Pacific Crest Trail and the Arizona Trail in 2022, and the Continental Divide Trail in 2023. I hope to hike thousands of more miles in my lifetime.

Erin Exploring is a blog for those who love to hike and backpack, long for adventure, and want to explore the outdoors more. Here, I hope to share these enchanting moments with you and inspire you to get out there and find the same joy in the outdoors that I have found. I primarily focus on backpacking and long-distance hiking info and gear because that is where my heart is right now.

I picked up photography when I was 10 years old - I always had a camera with me. I was fascinated with the way photography allows you to capture a fleeting moment and freezes time for a second. Outdoor adventure photography allows me to merge my creativity with my love for the outdoors. I want to see and experience all the wonders this world has given us.

Growing up, my parents fostered my love for nature and the outdoors with yearly trips to the woods in Maine. We would spend all of our vacations camping, kayaking, and hiking. I haven’t stopped exploring since.
